YOGA THERAPY

The goal of Yoga Therapy is to bring the system into balance for optimal functioning. Balance looks different for everyone, because we each have unique constitutions and past experiences. Practices are developed to meet the special needs and goals of each individual.

In addition to the yoga poses you may already know, yoga has many proven tools including:

  • Asana/Physical Postures: used to address physical imbalances and individual physical goals

  • Pranayama/Breathwork: used to calm the system and increase respiratory capacity

  • Meditation: used to bring one’s attention to the present moment, which may allow one to observe unhelpful patterned responses

  • And more…including sound, yoga philosophy, etc.

Within the human system there is an interconnectedness of body, breath, mind, personality and emotions. A change in one of the five dimensions affects each of the others. The tools of Yoga are thoughtfully applied to address symptoms of imbalance on individual dimensions, which in turn influences the whole.

How it Works

  • A Series of Sessions

    1st Session (90 minutes): We will talk about your goals and history and do some movement. After this session you will receive an initial home practice.

    2nd Session (60 minutes): A follow up session is scheduled about one week after the 1st session to discuss how your home practice is going and adjust as needed.

    Additional follow up sessions (60 minutes each) a minimum of 5-6 sessions is helpful to really establish their personal practice.

  • Initial Session

    90 Minutes|$150

    We will talk about your goals and history and do some movement. After this session you will receive an initial home practice.

  • Ongoing Sessions

    60 Minutes|$100

    A minimum of four follow up sessions are scheduled in order to get your practice established. During these sessions we continue to develop your practice together based on your goals.
